Retainer Payment
The client's order becomes reserved only when the retainer is received (or full payment, in the case the order pick up/delivery is less than 2 weeks away). The retainer is paid to reserve the specified date and is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation. Cakes are first come, first serve and Wonderfully Mad Arts only does a limited number of cakes per week. However, if the client needs to change the date or move the event location, please contact Wonderfully Mad Arts and I'd be happy to make accommodating arrangements (availability pending).
Remaining Balance Payment
The remaining balance is due 14 days before the pickup/delivery date. If the order is placed less than 14 days before the event date, the total amount is due immediately and the order will not be placed until payment is received. The order will not be made if final payment has not been received. All monies must be received 2 weeks prior to the date of pick-up/delivery or the client's order will not be made and all payments made will be non-refundable after the two-week lock-out date unless special arrangements have been made beforehand.
Changes to Order
Changes to the order: size, description, flavors, etc. will be accepted until 2 weeks prior to the pick-up/delivery date. After that lockout date Wonderfully Mad Arts cannot accept any changes
CHANGES TO ORDER AFTER DEPOSIT IS PAID: There will be an additional charge of $25 for each change made to an order after the deposit is paid; this includes, but is not limited to, changes in the date, design, flavors, cancellation (using paid amount for another order), etc.
Cancellation Policy
In the event of cancellation: If the order needs to be cancelled, a partial credit could be issued to use towards a future order (there is also a $25 fee for all cancellations), this will be assessed on an individual basis. In the event that something occurs to affect the client's scheduled event date – please contact Wonderfully Mad Arts to discuss options. Communication is key, if you are up-front about any issues about your date, I will work hard to accommodate you. I understand things can come up that are out of your control. Cancellations MUST be made before 7 days prior to the scheduled pick-up/delivery date.
Pick-up Information
LOCATION: 4059 Hickory Fork Rd, Gloucester, VA – this is Belroi Market/Shell Gas Station
Pick-ups are available 7 days a week between 9am and 5pm. These times are subject to limitations if I have a delivery scheduled during these times.
An email will be sent to the client either the Monday or Tuesday before the scheduled pick-up date to schedule the pick-up time and provide important reminders.
Delivery/Pick-up
Delivery and setup are highly recommended for all wedding orders and for most multiple tiered (3 or more) special occasion cakes. Delivery is a minimum of $20 or $2.00 per mile one way. If the client wants to pick up the order, Wonderfully Mad Arts will contact the client via email the week of pickup to arrange a time. Please arrive to pick up the order on time. If the client chooses to pick up, please note that Wonderfully Mad Arts is not responsible for any damage that may occur after handing the product to the client. It is always HIGHLY recommended not to transport on car seats, but place cakes on a flat surface (ex. on floor) and take all bumps/turns at a very slow speed.
Storage of Order
If the order contains Italian Buttercream, Cream cheese or German Chocolate icing, pastry cream filling, mousse or pineapple filling, the client must refrigerate it. Please ask if the order should be refrigerated if you have any doubts. Wonderfully Mad Arts recommends keeping any cake refrigerated and only set out 15 mins to 5 hours before cutting depending on room/outside temperature/humidity.
Disclaimer
In the case of an emergency or an error in the order delivery, please contact Wonderfully Mad Arts immediately so I can fix the issue right away! If the client is unhappy with the order for any reason, please text/email/message Wonderfully Mad Arts prior to the event and explain the situation. In the rare case that the client is unhappy with the order and would like a refund, the client must contact Wonderfully Mad Arts the day of the event so the order can be returned. Without proof that the client is indeed unhappy with the product and will not be using it for the intended event, Wonderfully Mad Arts will be unable to refund any portion of the client's payment. This means that the product must be returned to Wonderfully Mad Arts, in order for any form of refund to occur. This is necessary to hinder the very rare case of “If we complain, we’ll get a free cake” issue I occasionally come across. In Case of the Unforeseen
Certain creative changes may be made to the final design for the sake of stability, structural integrity, or other certain emergencies. In the event of an emergency/accident, Wonderfully Mad Arts, will outsource to reputable manufacturers, if necessary, to ensure the delivery of a similar product that will provide the agreed upon number of servings.
